View NotesThe Jed Luckless Europe Tour 2021 reaches its final leg, with back to back shows in France, starting with this one at French Armada Motorcycle Club in Secondlife. It's a first time venue on Jed Tour, and Jed, Moonie and the Jed Heads bring some fire to this woodsy lodge! First set opens with "Back Again," reminiscent of Jed's Back Again tour where this song opened every show. It's followed by a great version of a crowd favorite, "Brother Love." The love theme continues next with "The Need For Love" which opens up into the first of sevearl hot jams in this show. It's a fiery jam featuring a nice synth solo and searing guitar riffs before it segues into the Mark Gutenplan song "Road Trip." Up next is the story of the Phish tour, "Ass Gas Or Grass," and it's a high energy version cloking in at over seven minutes. The instrumental "The Hairdresser" is after it, followed by a powerful set closing "Lightship." Set II opens with a super-charged version of the instrumental "Maserati" that opens up into an uncharacteristic jam that goes on for about 17 minutes. It features a fast paced front section with keys and guitar leads, and a second half ambient section that transitions into the gentle "Come Tomorrow" from Jed's Luna suite. After a brief breath, Jed launches into "Moonie's favorite song" the fun crowd pleaser "Throw It Down The Hill," which also spawns an unexpected improv jam that clocks in over 19 minutes and also features multiple segments, including an aboslutely shredding guitar part, and some cool synthy sounds. The cautionary tale "Old Man Miller," follows with a powerful mid-solo section. The debut of a very old Jed song is up next called "I Think I Love Her," which seems to have an interesting story to it. The rarely played "GuRGLe Shuffle" closes the set, with the Maine inspired "Geneva Sue" tacked on as an encore. Jed always brings the fire to new venues for the first time and this show is no exception. It's a hot one spurred on by an amazing crowd throwing great energy. The show features at least three or four fantastic jams, a great, eclectic setlist, and a debut song! What more could you ask for? It's a must listen. Enjoy!
