View NotesIt's night two of Jed's historic Dome Run at The Dome in Secondlife, a three night run of concerts to close out his Winter Tour 2021. This is the Saturday night show and Jed and Moondance deliver a spectacular show featuring jams and lights galore! The show opens in high gear with "Maserati" and you can tell jed's gonna have the pedal to the metal all night. His fantasy role-playing inspired "Alignments" is up second with the instrumental soundtrack "The Hairdresser" in the third spot. Batting clean up is a heavy hitting "2000 Pikes" that produces a home run jam featuring driving guitar rhythms and a jazzy piano solo. It slides into "Homewrecker," a relatively new rocker. After some brief discussion of cocktails and schedules, Jed takes us "to church" with "Twelve," a song inspired by prayer that features an intense end jam in 11/12 time. He caps the set off with the always popular sing-along "Still In Luv With U." Second set opens strongly with "Multiply" and an extended jam with a great back beat and ascending guitar lines. It shifts into a second segment featuring shakers, theramins and layerd guitar riffs. It builds to a crescendo as it breaks into "Victim of The Rhythm." It's one of only two songs performed three times on the tour (the other was "Ozone Blues" the night before). Of course it being a second set VOTR, Jed blows it wide open, and it gets loud! When it finally dies down, the sentimental "Smile Forever" emerges from the din. Things pick back up with "The Need For Love," followed by the gentle "Time And Tide," which uncharacteristically spills over into one more extended improv jam. This one features some nice synth work from Jed. He closes the set with the fan favorite "Throw It Down The Hill." The Phish encore is in play again, tonight it's all about the M's and it's a triple play, featuring "Mountains In The Mist," a rocking "Mikes Song," and "My Sweet One" to cap off the evening. Also featured here on the recording is the sound check, "Englishtown" which builds on the Gutenplan theme of the previous night's sound check. This is a killer show, the height of the Dome Run, on a Saturday night with a great crowd. It features a great setlist of older and newer tunes, fan favorites, and several really good jams, along with a triple encore for the phans! A must-listen show. Enjoy!
