View NotesThe Jed Luckless 2021 Winter Tour continues with its second stop at The Mumbling Goat in Secondlife! It's a favorite venue that's hosted many a rocking Jed show and this one follows the trend! A large crowd of Jed Heads new and old was in attendance along with Moondance on lights. The energy was off the hook from the very start. Jed opens energetically with the playful "Latest Craze," followed nicely by a newer "quarantine" tune called "Always Alone." The beautiful semi-instrumental "Doigter" is perfectly placed in the third position, with Bob Dylan's "All Along The Watchtower" batting clean up and hitting it out of the park. It's a smoking version of the tune, and Jed and Moon open it up into a bright and bouncy jam. It chills down into "The Freeze," which gets a nice solo treatment here from Jed. The blueser about a boat "Miss Lizzy," is up next, followed by a high energy version of "Each And Every Day" to close the first frame. The second set launches with Jed's 90's pop-rocker "Nothings Ever Free" which he takes deep into a funky jam that winds its way nicely into the instrumental movie title track "Outside Looking In." The fan-favorite Mark Gutenplan song "Road Trip" rolls in next and Jed puts a nice spin on it, before accelerating into the bluegrass style lament "Forgot To Forget You." Jed has one last jam in store for the night and it's a doozy, erupting uncharacteristically out of the popular "Ozone Blues" and settling into an appropo "Sunlight." The set closer brings alot of laughs as Moondance makes the most of the light show during one of her favorites "Throw It Down The Hill." The Phish encores continue with the B's and a fun version of "Blaze On." This is a super high energy show at a comfortable venue where everyone is having a really fun time. Great takes on classic Jed tunes, some awesome covers and a few exceptional jams make this a must listen show. Enjoy!
