After recording the December 27th and 28th Dead shows at the Oakland Coliseum, we returned home to Morro Bay and prepared for the NYE show. I don't remember the model number of my old Sansui stereo receiver, but I used it along with my Sony TC-153SD cassette recorder to tape the broadcast. It was nice being able to record the Dead from the comfort of my apartment, with a refrigerator full of beer and a bathroom down the hall! Oh, and other party favors were handy as well. :) The next shows that we would record were two of the February 1988 Henry J. Kaiser run in Oakland.
