View NotesDTS-Audio-CD 5.1 Mix --------------------------------------------------------- - Mixed by [email protected] - FLAC conversion 05-NOV-2016 - Trader Little Helper - Tagged 05-NOV-2016 - Tag&Rename --------------------------------------------------------- More On DTS Today's audio standards are moving towards multi-channel sound, like DTS and Dolby Digital. While the Audio-CD standard (Red Book) hasn't changed to accommodate these new sound formats, it is still possible to go around the specification and to put a 5.1 surround recording on a regular Audio-CD. To play a DTS-Audio-CD you must connect your DVD/CD player via a digital cable (optical or coaxial) to your DTS Dolby-Digital receiver. It is not 100% sure that your receiver will recognize a DTS-Audio CD, so the first time you're trying to playback a DTS-Audio-CD you must do a test to determine if it can. Begin with the volume very low, start the disc and raise the volume gradually. NEVER listen to a DTS-Audio-CD through the analog audio outputs of your CD/DVD player. Burning Instructions Burn them the absolute same way as you would burn any normal Audio-CD from FLAC files. Brokedown House Production

SHNs > WAV > time/pitch stretching in CE Pro (see below) > FLAC
Taper Notes:
View NotesThe entire Dead set and the last three tracks, including the encores, appear to have come from the same source. These were definitely high in pitch, and were pitch/time stretched in CE Pro to 102.36%. The Dylan set, including the first 3 audience sourced tracks, do not have significant pitch problems and were not pitch adjusted. The end of d2t12 was cross-faded into the beginning of d2t13 to take care of some overlap. Shntool was used to fix all existing SBEs and all tracks converted to FLAC.

View NotesIn contrast, 2 other fob pcm>dat transfers have circulated being the jbraverman LB-2774 and the miller LB-4714 shnid=84266; both those seem to come from the same original recording with very close wav and spectral views and levels and edits and sound; this one is similar to those in same clapping and sort of similar clapping wavs and same nearby audience talking at end of d1t9 indicating it may be the same recording with different transfer and mastering, or tapers patched off the same mics or very close to each other; in side by side comparison, the tone on this is very different with a warmer sound making those sound harsh and whiney as if they were remastered; this has the complete wait for the encore while those have most of the wait edited out; Editing and patching: a small blip at 8:01 was patched with the miller source; a small drop in crowd at 17:00 was snipped; it could not be patched because both the jbraverman and miller versions were missing this section along with an additional half second which included a clap at this spot as if they had already been snipped;; excellent sound [A]
