View NotesThis updated "version three" was created on January 1, 2021. ...and you may ask yourself, how did we get here? Uncharacteristically, we did a couple fixes to make this show right. The original seed had one of the two tapes channels reversed by accident, so we fixed that. Upon listening, scholars let us know that while Keith was on the left side of the stage physically, the mix was done to put him in the right channel, therefore our second fix had the mix flipped channels wise. Though it represented the stage position of Keith, it had the drummers and band in the wrong locations. Thanks for understanding the process and our desire to present the most accurate possible version. This version three also includes a tiny adjustment to the speed. If you have the previous two versions (151250 + 151297), please don't continue to share them elsewhere.

They came from one of Bear's closest friends, who who travel frequently to Australia to visit his compound. They would organize his recordings and listen late into the night. Some of his favorite versions, copies and a few actual master tapes, came back with him stateside, and it is an honor and a pleasure to share some of the sonic journals." - Jamie Waddell **gems**

View NotesComments: From Alan "I transferred these masters direct to untracked CDs back in 2002. I checked them out and they are spot on for speed (A=440). It seems to be a sort of sbd/ambient blend mix to mono. The masters were labelled as "Remote" so I'm assuming its a unique mix of some sort, possibly as the feed to video cameras. It sounds similar to the audio on Bill Graham's video masters but is superior quality and more complete. It may be the most complete direct source as it does not have any of the cuts on other sbd sources. The only cut is during the tape change in set 2 (during the jam after Truckin')" SIRMick I have compared a couple of tracks with the mix used for Bill Graham's video at the Convert Vault and can confirm that it is the same as this. Notes: - The audience which has been mixed in is rather excessive during Set I so I have toned it down so that it isn't so overpowering. - I put together a matrix to patch "Jam'" which is a 100/50 mix of shnids 20596 and 140952 (Thank you Brian Heath, Matt Smith and Scott Clugston). Both sources were speed corrected and some level adjustments made. I made this mono so that it is in keeping with the rest of the source. The patch is Thanks to Bob Gurman for this source and Alan Bershaw for the transfer. edited and masstered SIRMick April 2018

Taper Notes:
View NotesDTS-Audio-CD 5.1 Mix More On DTS Today's audio standards are moving towards multi-channel sound, like DTS and Dolby Digital. While the Audio-CD standard (Red Book) hasn't changed to accommodate these new sound formats, it is still possible to go around the specification and to put a 5.1 surround recording on a regular Audio-CD. To play a DTS-Audio-CD you must connect your DVD/CD player via a digital cable (optical or coaxial) to your DTS Dolby-Digital receiver. It is not 100% sure that your receiver will recognize a DTS-Audio CD, so the first time you're trying to playback a DTS-Audio-CD you must do a test to determine if it can. Begin with the volume very low, start the disc and raise the volume gradually. NEVER listen to a DTS-Audio-CD through the analog audio outputs of your CD/DVD player. Burning Instructions Burn them the absolute same way as you would burn any normal Audio-CD from FLAC files. Brokedown House Production
