View NotesNotes: A WDST Radio Woodstock sponsored event. Conehead was one of several bands that played for this event. They were the first band to go on, and they played early in the day, at like 11AM or noon. I patched an old analog D5 deck directly into the soundboard with a 1/4 inch mono feed. Conehead later headlined The Lions Den in New York City the same day. ^ =First Time Played

View NotesNotes: I taped this show, and gave the masters away to either Chris Fisher or Pete Bencini. This source comes from a copy of it that I zipped off, probably using high speed dubbing (ugh!) I was assuming that I would see the masters again someday, but they are gone to history. The band was excited to play New York City. It wasn't their first time there, however, it was a gig that they were pumped for, and whichever band member took the masters, wanted to use them for a demo or something that they were shopping around to get gigs. They had asked me for my tapes, for one reason or another, and I ended up handing them over. I forget the exact reasons why, but it was something like this. Thus, this copy is all that exists at this point, unless the masters re-appear. It's a bit hissy - likely due to age and my high speed dubbing stunt. (again ugh!) But what can you do? I didn't really know what I was doing back then when it came to taping shows. I was learning as I went. Enjoy the less than superior results. The band played one long set, and they were the headlining band.
