Taper Notes:
View NotesEdits: tape flip edited out at d1t14 at 2:37 there is a minor glitch in Goody Girl, due to analog tape rot. There's a short section of Can't Stand Sleeping alone that sounds a little "muddy" due to tape rot as well. These were left alone. The recording levels were running a little hot for the 1st two songs, the soundman corrects this. The very beginning of Thank You is clipped. Notes: This recording represents the last of the Conehead Buddha tapes that were already in circulation prior to me starting to record the band in September of 1996. The first Buddhafest [8/9/96] happened around this time, and there are allegedly tapes that exist of this, but I've never been able to track down. It was a fun festival held at a place I think Jim and Rob McCuen were staying in somewhere by somewhere by Coeymans Hollow NY (see enclosed scans) This one came from Chris Fisher, he loaned me his master. (Thanks!!) It sounds very good, a very clear SBD for the period. Clyde Wilburn has left the band at this point, and the trombone spot remained vacant for a long time after this. The horn section remained as the brother/sister team of Terry and Shannon Lynch on trumpet and sax. Enjoy - it's a good one.
