View NotesNotes: First, who Swingset was. Ed Drohan, Christian DeFranqueville, Sean Zigmund. An Albany NY band that existed from 1995-1997. They opened regularly for Conehead Buddha, and played the circuit. Ed was drums, Christian was bass/vocals, Sean was guitar/vocals. Christian would later replace Jim McCuen as bass player for Conehead Buddha. Ed would sit in on many Albany band area gigs post Swingset, and played drums later with Mr. Ferguson band. (fronted by Todd Pasternack, who later would replace Max Verna in The Ominous Seapods.) I'm unsure where I got this tape from, but it came from one of three possible sources, so I'll thank all three. It either came from Christian DeFranqueville, or Sean Zigmond, or it came from Marcy Dunnigan (who was dating Sean)We were all friends at the time. The tape was pretty beat up when I got it, but it's a total rarity. I'm sure that only a few still survive. I don't have the setlist. If anyone can help, please do! Tracks 10 and 11 also came from Scarlet East, but were more than likely recorded at a later time. Track 10 came from the Scarlet East studio sampler CD "Pepper" = 10 years out of print at the time of this writing. Track 11 was from Scarlet Easts other studio CD "Scallions" - also long out of print. Of final note: I know that there is an unreleased Swingset album. It was produced by Scott Benson around the time the band broke up, however I only ever heard one of the tracks that Scott played for me at the time. It's uncertain whether this material was ever completed. Notes by Taperwayne Wind Lake WI November 2006
