View NotesIt's March Madness on the Jed Luckless Planet Sound Tour! Just when you thought the tour was winding down, Jed suprises us with a JLB reunion show! It's been over a year and a half since the band played a show, so it's great to have Ken, Mark and Pete back at the Jedstead and rocking the crowd at Lexie Luan Memorial Arena in Secondlife. Moondance Parx joins the fun on lights! The band eases into things perfectly with "The Freeze" before launching into the Mark Gutenplan song "Englishtown" and the first big jam of the night. It finds its way into a very timely "Ohio" from CSN&Y, which as Ken says is getting more relevant "by the hour." Jam vehicle "Give It Back" is batting clean-up with a homerun jam that is one of the longest of the night, clocking in over 15 minutes. When it finally comes to its fiery end, "Listen To The Angels" rises from the ashes. Kenny Kaufman leads the band through "FM Rock" which is missing it's traditional classic cover segue, with "Maserati" screeching in instead to close out the first frame. Second set opens, unsurprisingly, with "Victim Of The Rhythm" and a long, sweet jam, with Pete Martine holding it down on the kit for nearly twenty minutes. Surprisingly, the typical 'Smile' segue is no where to be found, with the band instead making a left turn into fan favorite "Road Trip." Someone call the doctor, cos "Queen Lucille" makes her appearance next, followed by Kenny's "Saw Mill River" with Jed's "Ozone Blues" sandwiched in the middle of it. The peppy "Used To Feel Good" closes out the set, with "Geneva Sue" sailing in as the encore to wrap things up. It's great to have JLB back in action and this is a solid show with a great classic JLB setlist and a few nice jams. If you're a fan of the band, this one jumps to the top of your playlist. Enjoy!
