View NotesThe Jed Luckless Planet Sound Tour goes back to where it all began, with a long overdue return to the famous Merry Prankster in Second Life! The last time Jed played the Prankster was in 2014, so it's great to be back at the sight of so many memories and it makes for avery fun and nostalgic night. And it comes as no surprise that Jed and Moonie treat us to two full sets of Grateful Dead just like the old days! Jed kicks things off perfectly with "Playing In The Band" which immediately gives the opportunity for an early jam which segues nicely into Dylan's "Masterpiece." Rolling in next is "They Love Each Other," followed by "Franklin's Tower" and another great jam that finds it's way into "Must've Been The Roses." It's one of the nicest moments of the night, with an emotional dedication to Beachy Piers, a founder of the Jed Head community. Jed wraps up the set with a nice jammy "Uncle John's Band" and a little story about meeting Nancy at the Pranks when he first arrived in SL. Second set opens with "Ramble On Rose" before things really go deep with "Eyes Of The World" and a really awesome Drums & Space segment featuring all kinds of percussion, keys, and guitar noises. Jed's on fire and when the smoke clears "Eyes" makes a re-appearance before pivoting straight into "Not Fade Away." Just when you think we're gonna get a clapping fade-out, Jed slides back into the "Playing Reprise" to close the show. Absolute Grateful Dead set magic! The encore is Jed's debut of "Knocking On Heaven's Door." Included with this recording is the brief sound check jam and a fun behind the scenes look at Jed's drum check - probably why he was so dialed in during the show on the skins! This is an absolutely amazing show full of energy and emotion, and certainly an obvious choice for the Deadheads out there, but really a must listen for anyone! Find a comfy spot, then sip or smoke your favorite pleasure and sit back and enjoy!
