View NotesThe Jed Luckless Planet Sound Tour is back after a brief break with the first show of a three night run at The Mumbling Goat in Second Life! This is a favorite venue for Jed and Moonie and they always bring the heat here - this one's no exception. Jed opens things up with his dungeons and dragons inspired "Alignments" with some nice drums included right out of the gate. It's followed by the bouncy "Back Again" off his 2010 'All At Once' album. "The Hairdresser," an instrumental from the 'Outside Looking In' soundtrack comes next, with the first big jam of the night waiting in the wings and showing up between "Latest Craze" and "Cold Dark Winter." Fresh off his break in Mexico, it's no surprise Jed includes "La Puerta" in the set, and the set closer is the alwayd fun cla-along "Forgot To Forget You." After a brief setbreak following a solid first set, Jed ramps things up with "The Need For Love," with its fast action vocals and of course a big second set jam out of it. It's a high flying improv that comes down to earth with the moody finger-picked "Uprooted." There's one more big jam in store and it emerges with "Lightship" shining its way into the 'Luna' love song "Oh My Star." The fan-favorite "Throw It Down The Hill" closes out the second frame. A powerful encore features a Catherine O'Hara tribute with "A Kiss At The End Of The Rainbow" from 'A Mighty Wind,' paired with Phish's "Tube" and it's funky jam section complete with siren loops and shredding guitar riffs. A total exclamation point on an amazing night! This is a really solid show at a great venue, featuring a nice setlist with a mix of Jed eras and a few awesome improv jams. It's good to have the tour back! Definitely worth a spin! Enjoy!
