View NotesIt's the 8th Annual Jed Luckless Holiday Revue! The show took place on December, 21, 2016 at Darkstar in Secondlife, and as always featured two sets of holiday classics rocked out by Jammin Jed for a good cause. This year's show was benefit for Project Sunshine, which helps provide medical and other services for children in need and once again Jed and the fans raised hundreds of dollars for the charity. Good tidings open the show with a jammy version of "We Wish You A Merry Christmas," followed by a bouncy take on the hymnal "O Come All Ye Faithful". The Snoopy inspired classic "Christmas Bells" is up next after a brief introduction from Jed, and features the first of many "Linus and Lucy teases throughout the night. "Christmas Bells" is followed by Irving Berlin's "White Christmas," complete with "heavy snow" falling at the show. Jed then reflects on eight years of holiday shows before launching "Joy To The World" and one of the hottest jams of the night. The jam gives way to a mellow "Silent Night." A fun romp through the holiday favorite "Jingle Bells" closes out the first set. Setbreak features a medley of Project Sunshine videos and interviews, which highlight the work that the charity does in supporting families with children with medical needs. Second set starts off with a rocker, Jed's version of "Deck The Halls" followed by a hefty "Hark The Herald Angels Sing." The longest jam of the evening comes in the third slot, with the Burl Ives classic "Silver and Gold" stretched to over twenty-two minutes and paired with John Lennon's "Happy Xmas." Things get bluesy next with "Merry Christmas Baby" followed by a hearty thank you from Jed before he wraps up the show with his typical and epic pairing of "The First Noel" and "Auld Lang Syne." A fun "Twelve Days of Christmas" encore puts a topper on another great Holiday Revue from Jammin Jed Luckless. Enjoy!
