View NotesJLB is back, continuing their Fall run of shows in Secondlife with a return to their "home field" August West Amphitheater at Darkstar. A great crowd and an awesome light show propelled JLB to deliver a rocking show featuring some hot jams, a new song debut and a "bunch" of Brady teases.

Set I opens with the Kenny Kaufman song "Saw Mill River" which once again the band neglects to finish and instead heads off into a nice long jam right off the bat. The jam finds it's way into the JLB rocker "Sugar Pop." Mark Gutenplan is up next, leading the boys through "Remember This Night," which has become a great jam vehicle for the band. A nice treatment of the bluesy "Queen Lucille" follows. The first set wraps up with the JLB debut of "2000 Pikes," a historical Jed Luckless song about Harper's Ferry, paired with the classic "Victim Of The Rhythm" to close the first half of the show.

After a full roster of original songs in the first set, the band features a series of cover songs in the second set, starting out with the Grateful Dead's "Loser," and also including "Sand" from Phish and "Happy Hour Hero" from Moe, which the boys hadn't played since their 6/21/16 show. The set is not all cover songs though, and also features a tight version of the sci-fi rocker "Ozone Blues," the popular cannabis anthem "Brother Love" and a bust-out of Jed's calypso tune "By And Bye," which has only been played once by the band (performed by JLB 1.0 on 3/4/14).

While not quite as jammy as the last couple JLB shows, this does feature a couple excellent improvisational moments, and the show packs an overall nice punch with a great mix of original music, covers, bust-outs and that usual great JLB vibe! Enjoy!
