View NotesHere's a show at the now defunct Bonaventure Square venue in Secondlife, from Jammin Jed's 2016 Fall Tour. This was the opening show of the second leg of an 18 show run, which is still one of Jed's longest tours to date. This was Jed's first appearance at Bonaventure, a cool space in the middle of a virtual city square that Jed would play three more times over the next year or so.

The show starts out fiery and hot with the tribal "Valley Of The Saints" setting the intensity for the lenghty evening ahead. It's a night of "bust-outs" and it starts with one from way back when called "All The Same," an airy, acoustic number only played live twice before. It's followed by another rarity, a pair of tunes from Jed's "Luna" suite called "Incorporation/ARC." The set really opens up next with the rocker "Water Glass" off Jed's 2016 "Roll Over" album. It overflows into a lenghty jam that is bouncy and ethereal. The love song "I Know There's Something" is a refreshing follow-up. A cut from Jed's 2010 album "All At Once" is next, the bluesy "Lead Me," which Jed refers to as a bust-out but it's really the ninth time played so it's not that uncommon. The set wraps up with a pair of Grateful Dead songs, the energetic "Scarlet Begonias" and the powerful "Sugaree" which includes some sweet guitar work from Jed.

Second Set starts out with one about Jed's 'ancestor' and gentleman named "Mr. Beaman." It's a rare and interesting tune with multiple musical sections, and Jed delivers a solid version here. The midly socially aware "Nose Ring" is up next, a song that has faded from the repetoire recently. This one is extended out in rare fashion with a peppy jam that teases Mike Gordon's "555" and the Dead's "Fire On The Mountain" before going out to sea instead with "Geneva Sue." The biggest bust-ot of the night is next, a brief intstrumental off the "Roll Over" album called "Wunjo." It's only been played live twice. Jed plays one more original the phone support inspired "On Hold," before closing the set with a Phish combo featuring the Trey Anastasio song "Ocelot" paired with a nice jam and the Robert Palmer rock classic "Sneakin Sally Through The Alley." A Phish related encore, Jed's song about following the tour "Ass Gas or Grass" wraps up the show.

This is a fun and energetic concert at a cool Secondlife venue that hosted a few great Jed shows before it was paved over to make way for virtual progress. There's some rare bust-outs here for the die-hard Jed Heads and a couple sweet jams in "Water Glass" and "Nose Ring." And if you're a Dead Head or a Phan there's something here for you too. Enjoy!
