View NotesPrepare for adventure! It's Jammin Jed's Halloween of Dragons, the 8th annual Jed Luckless Halloween event at DarkStar in Secondlife! Jed is known for his entertaining Halloween shows which always have a great theme, rocking tunes and tons of wackiness! This year is no different, as Jed gives his take on a Fantasy and Medieval theme, complete with audio clips, narration, voices and great music. Jed divides the show into four segments, two per half. The show starts off with a segment on "Lord Of The Rings," with narration by Jed in a goblin-esque voice about the Fellowship and Smaug the dragon. He tells the story musically with Led Zeppelin's "Battle of Evermore," a Jed original called "The Constable," and the Jerry Garcia song "Ship of Fools." The second segment is focused on "Dungeons & Dragons," and features narration about the history of the game and a musical series featuring Jed's D&D inspired song "Alignments" paired with another original "All The Same," followed by a double does of Phish, with "Cavern" and "Lizards." After a short break Jed returns with the third segment, which takes on "Game Of Thrones," with an admittely rudimentary narration by Jed followed by a couple of Grateful Dead songs, "Fire On The Mountain" and "Brokedown Palace." The "fire" jam is predicitably one of the hottest of the night. The "GOT" segment wraps up with Trey Anastasio's "Winterqueen." The final segment is based on Excalibur and the Arthurian legends, told musically through the TV On The Radio song "Golden Age" featuring a lenghty jam and followed by Garcia's "The Wheel" in honor of the "the roundtable." The fairy tale like Phish song "Steam" comes next, and the Dead's "St. Stephen" is the finale of set. THe traditional "Pumpkin Song" encore wraps up the show. This is another fun Halloween show from Jed Luckless, the 8th in a long running tradition of pirates, astronauts, dinosaurs, dragons and more! Give it a listen around Halloween or check out any of the other years, all posted here on archive.org. Enjoy!
