View Notes*** Jerrys guitar is low in the mix during Alabama, but gets better quick and for the rest of the show it is fine. Email Jeff M. at above email with any flaw notation additions *** Chris Perkins - notes & minor changes 08/01 *** -split Alabama Getaway into a Tuning & song track using CD Wav -split Scarlet > Fire using CD Wav and re-encoded to Shn -renumbered disc 1 & 2 tracks to reflect above -deleted 0.56 second silent gap at 4.8 seconds of Sat Nite, essentially turning a drop-out into a splice. there may have been more than 0.56 seconds missing. -merged new version of Sat Nite with Don't Ease and re-cut on sector boudaries -all of Set 1 will fit on an 80 minute disc -other flaws - d2t05 (Eyes): small dropout at 11:48 - d3t02 (UJB): some amp noise, primarily a buzz in right channel, 3:15-3:39 - d3t05 (Dew): a few volume changes and some distortion, 4:08-4:25

The theory was saving batteries and tape space. We would learn to record the entire show by Spring 83! Manor Downs Raceway, near Austin TX July 31 1982 Mic location: About 85 feet from stage near center We caravaned down to Austin the next afternoon arriving a bit late but buying tickets at the gate- for $10! We set up about 30 feet in front of the board next to about 3 groups of guys with mic stands, one guy using a crutch with a single mic on it and another guy holding up a boombox on a crutch recording the show with it. Eric lost his wallet, skip said he saw people having sex in the bushes, Olvy got mad at a dude yelling underneath HIS own mics (one pointed toward the sky the other at the stage!). The recording tells me we had a good time and came out with a relatively decent tape. The complete story of our summer tour can be read in the text file.
