Matrix mix (SBD/AUD)
Taper Notes:
View NotesGeneral Notes: A decent AUD makes this great show a good matrix. A SBD Splice in Estimated from another 77 show was removed and now is historically correct - synching sources necessitates the authentification of the content, another value added aspect of matrices. I don't really understand why someone (Gans?) would spend the time to splice in content from another show. Editing Notes: - Dynamics Waves L2 was used for minor limiting (-0.7 threshold), and no EQ was used on any of the sources. - Pitch/Synch AUD synched to the SBD. The AUD is pitched up in a range between 12 and 30 cents. - Envelope Edits The following are places where the SBD and AUDs had splices, holes or incomplete coverage in reference to the final matrix timeline. Tuning and crowd noise holes are not mentioned - only incomplete music sections. Full coverage is achieved. AUD: d1t05 (all) - missing d1t07 (all) - missing d2t01 (all) - missing d3t03 (11:42 - 11:54) - missing d3t05 (00:00 - 00:08) - missing d3t08 (all) - missing SBD: d3t02 (00:47 - 01:08) - missing d3t02 (01:41 - 01:41) - missing a tenth of a second d3t05 (03:23 - 03:23) - missing a quarter of a second d3t07 (02:38 - 03:07) - missing Patch SBD used at the following: d3t02 (00:41 - 00:47) - patched due to illegal foreign content d3t02 (01:08 - 01:10) - patched due to crossfade d3t07 (07:55 - 08:09) - patch in UJB tuning b/c it's missing from 11614 Many thanks to Betty Cantor Jackson for recording the SBD source and aoxoa whose DAT seems to be the source for both SBD shnids. Thanks to Jay Serrafin for his version of it (the EQ is decent and helps the matrix mix, thus why I went with this source, the illegal Estimated patch notwithstanding). Thanks to direwolf and Darrin Sacks for their roles in shnid=3224. Thanks to the Wizard (owen brothers vault) for the AUD source - apparently Jerry Moore did not record this show, so whoever the taper is - many thanks! Enjoy! - Chappy

Equalized to boost high end, was a bit flat Some gain adjustments to Sugaree. AUD source was used to patch in missing tunings etc. where available. AUD patches adjusted to match sbd as best as possible. All editing done with Diamond Cut DC6 software.

Taper Notes:
View NotesDigitally remastered using a custom built, Dual-DAW, nicknamed Bertha, by [email protected] on 10/30/2002. The Serafin source was completely reassembled prior to processing. Retracking was done using CDWave after all processing was completed. The wavs were tested for SBEs prior to encoding to SHN. The fade between d3t03 and d3t04 was done by Serafin or others and was left as-is due to no overlap being provided. This is the reason I do not use fades between discs. All of my disc changes are at track markers to make for seamless rejoining of tracks when transferring to larger media. Taper Notes:
View NotesEditing and Mastering by The Wizard - [email protected] When this recording came to me it was missing four songs, in order to preserve the listening experience, these songs were patched in from the SBD source and sonically adjusted to blend in with the AUD. Mild Continuous Noise filter to reduce tape hiss. Equalized to boost mids and low end, was a bit harsh. Eyes>Drums transition patched with SBD. Start of Jack A Roe patched with the SBD. A couple hundred loud claps removed. All editing done with Diamond Cut DC6 software.
