Patched soundboard
Taper Notes:
View Notes--Converted the orignial Charlie Miler Flac files to 14H kbps / 44kHz wav files and patched in the missing section between '06 Black Throated Wind' & '07 Cumberland Blues in the first set and '18 The Other One' & '23 Wharf Rat' in the second set. The Aud patch was done with the Conner / Gems Aud source done with crossfades and volume adjustments using Roxio Sound Editor (2009). Retracked and converted the wav files back to individual flac files using Roxio and the Flac Frontend. This show deserved to be patched because it is just that good and the audience source is fantastic for the time period. Thanks to all involved beforehand: Charlie Miller, Charles Conner, Jason Chastain and the GEMS team. All post work done by Brian Flegel - [email protected] - 03/24/2025 & 03/25/2025--

7" Master Reel > Cassette > CD
Taper Notes:
View NotesThe cassette was played back on a Nakamichi Cassette Deck 1 > Flying Calf 24-bit A/D > ZA2 and tracked and burned with CD Architect. This version is several orders of magnitude better than the circulating version and breathes new life into what is actually a smokin' show. Technical notes: Small static at 1:51 in Row Jimmy. Big pop at 1:55 attenuated down to very small pop. There are a series of low-level pops that occur from about 4:51 - 4:57 in Rider. All of these flaws are non-digital. Reel flips during The Other One and Wharf Rat seamlessly edited together. Transferred, burned, shn'ed, and all by David Hollister ([email protected]) Enjoy!

Taper Notes:
View NotesNote 2: I (Bob Clevenger) have trimmed a small amount of silence and minor tuning from the tracks on set 2 to reduce the total time of the set to <85 minutes. This allows all of set 2 to be burned onto one disc if you use a 90 min. disc. Sadly at this time most recording software won't allow overburning in excess of 85 min. These modified tracks are in the folder labelled "discs 3&4 alternate" and I have preserved the original tracks in the folders labelled "disc 3" and "disc 4." Take your pick, but you don't really need both versions. sbe's added to d3t09 and d4t01

View NotesNotes: - First audience recording of this show to circulate. - Shared to www.shnflac.net on the 50th anniversary of this historic evening. - No patch work was performed to cover tape flips. This is as Charles captured it. Notes from conversation between Charles and Jim: "11-14 Charles was center right, many cops on the perimeter. Only cut song issues are tape flip during 2nd Other One and cut One More Sat Night."
