View Notes- This recording has been provided by an anonymous source. - There was quite a lot of noise, mostly in the right channel, which has been removed. - A significant number of level adjustments have been made. - A large number of repairs have also been made, which include a total drop out of approximately 5 seconds in the left channel of Love Light. The right channel has been copied over, making this section mono. This is from around 2:14. - Hanno's sbd is missing around 2minutes 8 seconds from Love Light. It's easy to understand why when you listen to this. It sounds rough and there isn't much that can be done about it. This section is from 11:23.5. - Approximately 30 seconds is missing from "Attics Of My Life" The splice is at about 4:15. Hanno's also has the same cut. - There is a GDTRFG jam in "Not Fade Away" although no one seems to have thought it worthy of a mention before. - All files have been tagged. edited and mastered SIRMick March 2015

View Notes*UPDATED SONGS CREATED ON 15th MAY 2016 My version of this show, which was basically the SBD (with many balance adjustments done by me) patched with parts from both the circulating AUD and a 3rd copy, a mono 'board' of the show I had. This was torrented recently on Lossless Legs. After someone quite correctly pointed out to me that I'd used the AUD version of the Outro rather than the SBD version, I decided make a new version (this one) which would blend the 2 endings. By chance, I also happened to listen again to the transition from Cold Rain & Snow to Dark Star on the AUD recording (which I hadn't listened to for many years). I realised that it contained more than 2 additional minutes of tuning which wasn't on the SBD and hence hadn't made it onto my own version (as torrented on LL). So I decided to patch it back in to make the show as accurate as possible. I then went back comparing the AUD to my own version and discovered several other places where 'tuning' and 'dead air' had been cut from the SBD copy. As per the above, I've restored everything I can using the AUD for patches into my own copy. The following are the changes I've made to my copy since it was torrented on LL. I did these changes purely for my own listening pleasure but I'd be delighted if they got shared with anyone else who might want them. So please accept them for what they are - I just don't want to be accused of muddying the gene-pool. They are all designed to be dropped into the torrented version as replacement tracks. *04. I Know You Rider - about 50 seconds additional tuning patched in from the AUD at end of song *06. Me & My Uncle - about a minute of additional tuning patched in from the AUD at the end of the song *11. Attics Of My Life - about 50 seconds additional tuning patched in from the AUD at end of song *13. Cold Rain & Snow - more than 2 additional minutes of tuning from the AUD patched in at end of song *14. Dark Star > - a tiny 'gap' removed from start for smoother transition *17. Lovelight - band's comments and Cutler's chants from the SBD mixed into what was already there. Simon Phillips 15th May 2016

View NotesThis is a copy of the tape reviewed by Dick Latvala in his notebook http://www.dicklatvala.com/notebooks/pages/700524notes.jpg It's a mono board tape and NOT from the same source as the circulating soundboard. The story I was told when I first got it back in the 70s was that it was the sound from one of the film cameras which had been left running (sadly on sound only) even though the Dead had dosed all the camera crew. It came to me in a trade in the late 70s. At the time, only a poor audience recording circulated so, although it's not the complete show, it was a major upgrade. Many years later, a flawed soundboard started circulating with the odd cuts patched from an improved audience recording. Around 2001, I used this mono board to patch the soundboard and recently (May 2016) it was circulated as shnids 135716 and 135803 (same with additional tunings), along with the programme and photos from the show. I thought I'd long since lost this mono board tape. However, amongst the handful of cassettes I'd kept in a box in the loft was this one. I've transferred it to digital and offer it up for the completists out there who may want a third source for this show. Who knows, maybe someone will take all 3 sources and make the definitive version one day? Simon Phillips July 2016
