View NotesNotes on Stu Allen & Mars Hotel from The Ashkenaz Community Center, Berkeley CA, 4-30-2014. Recording gear used: Sound Devices 744T 4-channel hard disc recorder @ 24/96 resolution; Sound Devices 722 slaved to the 744T via CL-1 cable for a total of 6 channels recorded. Sources: Crown SASS P Mk 2 stereo condenser PZM @ the center stage lip (the drum kit was placed at the very center edge of the stage and the PZM was apr 1 ft. in front and at snare/tom height; Crown CM-700 cardioid condenser mics placed spread appr. 6 ft. to either side of the SASS focused on the keys (SR) & the guitar (SL); the SASS was fed into a Shure FP 42 with an additional channel from the monitor mixer from the bass guitar and those tracks went to the 722. The CM-700 mics were fed nto the 744T, channels 1 & 2 and the SBD was fed into the channels 3 & 4 for a total of 7 inputs. Path: Sound Devices tracks (6)>ext. hard drive>Samplitude ProX>TLH>flac.
