View NotesIt's the 12th Annual Jed Luckless Holiday Revue, coming to you from Old Town Winterland in Secondlife! This show took place on December 21, 2020 and was a benefit for The Divided Sky Foundation which provides services and support for people suffering from drug addiction and substance abuse. It was notably the first live show back in Jed's studio since the infamous flood of 2020. The show opens energetically with a Blues Brothers inspired take on "Deck The Halls," followed by an introduction to the charity The Divided Sky Foundation. The Burl Ives classic "Silver And Gold" is up next, and Jed opens it up into a nice little jam and a "Greensleeves" tease before a segue into a holiday debut for him with "Oh Holy Night." Jed's raucous original "Merry Christmas Asshole" comes next, followed by a heartfelt dedication to a friend with his emotional original "Christmas Night." Jed lightens things up again with the Snoopy classic "Christmas Bells," which extends into a rocking piano driven jam that features a "Gimme Shelter" tease." It transitions into a "Lovelight" inspired take on "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," another debut for Jed, which closes the first set. The intermission features interviews with Trey Anastasio about The Divided Sky Fund along with clips from his Beacon Jams and MSG concerts. Second set opens with the pop rocker "Do They Know Its Christmas" which opens up into a rockin jam that settles into a nice ambient movement with a "Drummer Boy" tease before a segue into "I'll Be Home For Christmas." "Rockin Around The Christmas Tree" is next, a rare one that hasn't been played at the Revue since 2012, followed by a Jed favorite, the Weepies cover "All That I Want." A fun and wacky "Grandma Got Runover By A Reindeer" includes a follow-up to Jed's 2019 "North Pole Insider" narration and "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" has a nice E-Street inspired piano solo. The set closer is the always fun "Feliz Navidad" with Jed's usual "Good Lovin" spin on it. A "Winter Wonderland" encore is dedicated to the venue. This is another wonderful holiday concert that raised hundreds of dollars for The Divided Sky Fund, and it features some classics, some new entries, a few hot jams and a couple of really fun narrations. Happy holidays and enjoy!
