View NotesHere's one from Jammin Jed's 2020 EuroTour, his show on May 23, 2020 at Lakeside Pavilion in Secondlife. This was the second of two back to back concerts at United Kingdom venues and the first time that Jed tour has played this particular spot.

Jed opens the show uncharacteristically with a cover song, the Phish tune "Everything's Right" explaining that the venue reminds him of class "pav" venues on Phish tour like Camden and SPAC. The tune also kicks into a wicked jam right out of the gate. The jam segues into an original song, "Lead Me," the opening cut from Jed's 2010 'All At Once' album. A debut is up next, a poignant love song called "End Of Time," apparently written during Jed's Covid isolation. The conference call inspired "On Hold" follows, with the second big jam of the first set, an intense improv featuring great use of the piano and theramin and a nice ambient transition into a rare song from Jed's "Luna" suite, the love song "Oh My Star." The set closer is appropriately a cover from British singer-songwriter Cailidgh Spires, the ever popular "The Song With Words And Stuff" with a wicked extended solo section.

Second set opens with another rarity from Jed's 'Luna' Suite, the title track "Luna." It eschews a second set jam opener, but no worries one follows on its heels, as Jed rolls out another Phish tune, "Twist" and extends it into the longest jam of the night, a bouncy upbeat orchestration featuring bongo rhythms, sexy synths and soaring guitar melodies. Jed busts a string during the jam, and tries to change it on stage, which produces an extended ambient improv featuring primal drums and vocal treatments. When he finally gets the new string on, he transitions into the Christine Lanfranco penned "Perfect Package." The stormy but hopeful "Lightship" appears next, and Jed extends it for one last improv of the evening, a patient jam featuring some great guitar work. It slides into the mellow original "Uprooted." Jed closes the set on an upbeat note with the bluegrassy "Used To Feel Good." A double encore features a Jed Zeppeln preview with "Good Times Bad Times," and a fan request for some Grateful Dead with "Ripple."

This is a high energy show at a cool new venue filled with some great Phish songs, a few other cool covers and a number of powerful improvisational jams. Enjoy!
