Taper Notes:
View NotesNotes: Memories are a bit hazy but I was patched out of another cassette deck, guessing another D5. My notes simply say Naks > D5. There are unobtrusive tape flips after Supplication (mine) and after Stagger Lee (first deck). All the songs remain in full. I have not patched the brief inter-song notes. Drums has 2 tape flips. First deck flipped at 12:35, and there is a 39-second gap, which I deleted. My very-quick tape flip is another 1:47 later. No patching. This mostly sounds GREAT, I think much better than the previously-circulated auds. (set 2 through the first 1:18 of "Women" is merely "good", which I assume is due to tape deterioration. Then the high end returns in full.) I wish I'd done the transfer years ago.

View Notes(1) with words - last 'Supplication': 10/31/84 [597] Tapers Notes This was my 1st and Only Grateful Dead master made with my Sony D5. I bought the D5 from a friend who switched to DAT and then I took the plunge into DAT not too much later. I had a single seat in the tapers section on the aisle, so I had the mics set up at my seat and spent a lot of time sitting In the aisle! This was the only time I’d ever seen Supplication.
