Matrix mix (SBD/AUD)
Taper Notes:
View Notes*Matrix* ---------------------------------------------------- SBD: SBD>DAT>CDR COMMENTS missing BE Women, Bucket is missing the opening notes, glitch at 2:04 of Mexicali, glitch at 1:09 of Promised Land, glitch in U.S. Blues at 4:40 EAC (secure mode with proper offsets), editing and shn conversion by Tony G ([email protected]) 05/30/2002 [It appears there is at least one (1) cassette generation in the lineage.] ---------------------------------------------------- AUD: FOB Digital Audience - 13th Row Center Schoeps CMC34 Cardiod (110 degrees ORTF) -> Oade Supply -> Panasonic 2v255 Todd lent his gear to a friend for this evening. He did not tape this himself. based on tapertalk: set one was handheld,; set two he intended to run a stand DAT from collection of Todd Evans - [email protected] DAT > TASCAM DA-20 > M-Audio Audiophile 192 > Soundforge 8.0 wav a **GEMS** production www.shnflac.net May 2006 Edited Adobe Audition 1.5 Dithered 48/44.1 w/gaussian noise and a slight noise-shaping in r8brain v1.9 Tracked in CDWav Flac Level8 in TLH SBE FREE *Amplitude Attenuated to 96.25% *various pops, glitches and crowd noises required individual hand editing to save your speakers; some remain in ideal of least editing possible, especially in B.E.Women, where nothing i did seemed to better a few of the zips. *bird song patch with shnid 9757; thx to cwagenbach for the source a **GEMS** production www.shnflac.net Finished Sunday, August 13, 2006 **__** --------------------------------------------------- Thank you to Paul and Tony G. for the SBD transfer, and to Todd Evans and the **GEMS** production team for the AUD transfer. Matrix by Hunter Seamons using Final Cut Pro (SHN & FLAC>AIFF>Final Cut>WAV>FLAC) October 7, 2008 Notes: 1) Cuts in the SBD between some songs, a momentary cut during Space and at the beginning of Bucket. Approximately two-minute cut in the AUD during the earlier portion of Bird Song. 2) Occasional static, clicks, and/or pops. A loud click in Althea appears sound system related (the click is in both SBD and AUD). 3) SBD source was about 0.8% fast. 4) As there was some bass overload/distortion in the AUD, the low gain of the AUD was decreased a good amount, except in BE Women when only the AUD plays. This optimized the overall quality of the matrix, to my ears, and allowed certain aural dimensions of the sources to shine through better without tonal dissonance. 5) Seamless show

Taper Notes:
View NotesNotes: - Each tape was adjusted electronically & mechanically in the SV3800 to ensure proper play. - None of these Spring '92 tapes have emphasis. - To avoid detection the mics were hidden/muffled during Birdsong, hence the patch. Thanks to; - Dave Brotman & Jeff Metchick for recording the show. - Anon for the transfer, while hiding out away from the Bay Area. - Ted Mattes for organizing this project & seeing it though. - Pete Ebel for the patch source. - Auto Healer for helping me remove the clapper.
