It will display on any player capable of directly playing flac files. If converted to wav during processing, all tags will be stripped, however audio data will remain unaffected. If you must transcode to a lossy format, do so directly Flac > Lossy. Use ffp to validate audio integrity. Md5 values will change if tagging is altered. Dave Usborne 02-25-2014

Taper Notes:
View NotesOriginal Master Rescue Project. Master off previously unreleased Audience FOB DAT. SBDs of this are available on CD as a partial on "Dozin at the Knick", from GDP, and "Spring 1990", from the same fine folks. And, it is a large 96/24 set, in the 3+ GB range. Judge your choice to download accordingly. If you prefer audience to SBD/CDs, and don't mind having some versions, this is for you. Taping quality: equivalent to 1961 Bordeaux wine in terms of tape crafting. (1961 was apparently a very good year for Bordeaux.) Band Playing Quality: Row Jimmy and Blow Away are candy, as is most of the rest of this tour, given the large CD release... Some flaws, nach. Enjoy the audience being appreciative. Very 3-D auditory. Nice separation and bass. Source: Some fine, fine audience taping work. The provenance is a bit complex, thanks to the "FOB Daredevils": yet, it was taped in an FOB sweet spot for the most part. First set, thru Set II Victim, and, after China -> Rider: Richard Berner's B&K 4011's, 110º ORTF, hand-held @ 5' high, Prolink -> Neumann Power Supply -> D10, 26th Row Center, FOB -> DAT Master, Apogee 701/BETA -> NAK 682 ZX -> Sony Metal-SR/90 -> JVC TD-W354 -> Zoom H6 96/24 WAV -> Audacity -> FLAC 96/24. They seem to have kept the audience around them pretty disciplined; the change in sources is noticeable. China -> Rider: Schoeps CMC 421 Sub Cardioids, 100º, 1 row in front of soundboard, about 4 seats right. There may or may not be a full-security-body-tackle recorded, just because that crew delights in that kind of thing, then a likely fade-in back-of-board. All provenance bets are off at that point, but it still sounds very nice. Only posting in 96/24 to keep the sound quality up, feel free to convert it if you like, I hear there are open-source CD-burners that convert on the fly. Mastered with Bose Quiet-Comfort 20 Headphones with NC on. Thanks, Pete-O! Recorded by: Richard Berner and Friends Sown and Seeded by: bltz

Craig Hillwig used xACT 2.35 and Audacity to decode, join files and invert the left channel in a 32 bit float. View NotesHuge thanks to Rich for recording this and sharing with me!We went to this together and Rich had his VHS recorder programmed for the start of the broadcast,We worked this up the next day or so,can't recall what we used to transfer to cassette and I'm sure nothing too fancy or any high end equipment. This was good enough that I didn't grab my friends master audience of this night and I know since having the two earlier nights they were excellent as well.In a few small areas you can hear static or interuptions from the broadcast but to be expected from a FM broadcast and not too distracting at all.In the start of both sets I believe you can hear the SBD mix being added to the audience so maybe a matrix? To my knowledge this hasn't been shared with many other people other than my friend's who I have made copies for and not sure if Rich had made any copies of his master VHS copy and shared with others either.Have been out of touch with Rich for a good number of years (13 or so,too long) and I hope he's doing well and gets to hear this transfer of his recording I made! Thanks Buddy!Enjoy!
