SBD/AUD Matrix Mix
Taper Notes:
View NotesNotes: 1) There is occasional static, clicks, pops, shifty sound, and hiccups in the SBD source. (Other than that, the SBD is pretty copacetic.) 2) Since there were a handful of gaps in the SBD during songs, there will be occasions where only the AUD is playing. There were so many time shifts (cuts) in the latter half of U.S. Blues that I opted to only have the AUD play for that portion of it. 3) The "House Music/Bill Graham Outro" track is from SHN ID 23730, transferred by Joe Samaritano. 4) The SBD mix evens out during Getaway. (Phil comes into it a little late.) 5) The low gain of the SBD source was reduced 6 dB Matrix Sources: ----------------------------------------------------------------- SBD MR>PCM>DAT>CD-R Conversion: SHN>WAV>Shntool>CD WAV>Cool Edit Pro>Shntool>SHN(Seekable) Upgraded Conversion/Edit/Re Seeded by T. Taper Notes:
View NotesNotes: - Patch at the very beginning of "Throwing Sones" from shnID 93682 - There are a few, minute bad spots in the tape in MAMU. Patching would have been more intrusive, so left as is. - Tape flips crossfaded where applicable - This is a nice solid, clear recording. These dates have already yielded some stellar tapes, all in all, it will in the end be a listeners choice. These are very full, very up front, and an all around great listen and representaion of a fantasic show. Thank you fellas for another wonderful set of tapes!! Tapers Comments: These 82 Frost shows are also a tapers choice. Taping these shows with the same three mic mix yielded steller recordings. Unlike the Greek Theater shows this venue created a much warmer vibe which seems to come through on these analogs. Being a student at Stanford Jamie was in his element. I don't recall all of the other tapers who helped us make these shows but they were great.
