View NotesFIXES AND NOTES: Cleaned up, retracked, pitch corrected version of shnid 7221 from 2001 Small aud Patch in "Space" from shnid 112822 IMO, this show was dubbed from a couple of sbd sources. Pitch varied drastically on each track. Now acceptable. I added the question marks to the lineage. This is not MC > C > DAT. Definitely a couple more gens were not included in the original lineage. Wavering tone marrs an otherwise fine 1982 GD performance. Retracked and pitch corrected by Bill Guarneri. May 31, 2014

View Notes- Fix of shnid 7221 - I made the transition between CDs 2 and 3 seamless. Overlapping fade tracks were added to the end of CD 2 and the beginning of CD 3. For seamless playback simply remove the fade tracks.

NAK deck > 2 90 minute UDXL II cassette masters, REC from centered seats behind the stage. Tascam 322 > Marantz CDR 510 > CDR > EAC > WAV > CD WAV Editor > Flac 8
Taper Notes:
View NotesTaped from 50 - 60 feet away from behind the stage, center seats, with 2 typical band vocal mics. The wind covers were left on the mics. Mics were placed on an empty seat seperated by a few inches & pointing at the stage. The NAK deck & generic mics were loaned to me to use by Tim "soundawg" Stiegler. Thank you Tim. I had a mic stand that they took from me at the door but they let me bring in the rest of the gear no problem, I got it back when we left. All borrowed gear was safely returned. These tapes have been played LESS than 8 times in 32 years & haven't been played since 1982. There are some volume level lowering adjustments in the two sets opening songs. (this was done at the show as the tape ran) There are a few single channel drop outs in the 2nd set where noted with a * I have no idea what caused it. Besides piecing this together in places for seamless play & tracking, no SOUND edits of any kind were done. This is the best I could manage with my limited editing skills, no recorded music is missing, what's here is what's on the tapes. This was my first time ever recording a live concert. I only tried once more after this, (4-17-82), & I quickly discovered how much WORK it was. Twice was enough for me, I was DONE as a taper. If anyone wants to repair the drop outs and patch in the Encore, & fix other problems discovered, please feel free to tinker. Enjoy. Transfered to flac on December 29th, 2014.
