LIVE FROM THE LOT was made possible thanks to 101.1 WKQX and DUFF
Entertainment. Local H has performed as Nirvana 2 times prior (1997
& 2016) and were 2 of the most memorable performances in the band's
career. They decided to do it one final time in 2020 to try to make
light of a pretty crappy year - when its come to live shows. They 
previously played 2 "LIVE FROM THE LOT" shows in August and were
honored to close out the year's outdoor event calendar with this
special Halloween performance.

We had some very heavy wind. It had to be near 20mph at times, with 
the temps in the mid 40s at showtime. Knowing full well we would have
wind (it's Chicago in late October!), I brought my furry outdoor 
microphone windscreen muffs and crossed my fingers. This was my first
time using them and they did incredibly well. Had I used the DPA4060s
and left them in the elements, this might not even be worth the listen.
It was THAT windy. I had to mount the stand next to a car to ensure it
didnt sway too bad in the wind. Everything seemed to work. Having said
that, this is not the best outdoor recording I have ever made, but the
wind is almost (almost!) non-existent. Very pleased as I was seeing my
favorite band cover another favorite from years past. I did bring the
bass down a bit and leveled the L/R channels a bit. Be sure to check
this one out.
