View Notes* = Features a "Shock The Monkey" interlude, Originally Recorded By Peter Gabriel. () = interlude, tease. I recorded directly in front of Ryan's kit and aimed the mics at the speaker. I almost scrapped this entire show, but the performance and sound during the first 5 to 6 songs is too good NOT to share. Here is the long story short: my CA 9200 preamp has been acting funny lately and finally gasped it's final breath during "Smothered In Hugs" (omitted). You will hear the recording start to get distorted around "Gig Bag Road" and it just gets progressively worse from there. By "California Songs", it was almost not listenable. I decided to cut the songs "John The Baptist Blues", "The Misanthrope" & the Guided By Voices cover, "Smothered In Hugs" because they were distorted to hell and back. I recorded "Bound For The Floor" & on using the internal built in stereo mic on the PCM-M10. The sound isnt the best, but in doing this, I was able to preserve 85% of the show.
