The 2015 theme was 'Mad Max'. The thematic covers were great selections, especially the Motörhead & Gary Numan covers. This was New Years Eve, as expected, the band was on fire. A few notes on the performance... Scott had a coughing attack during California Songs, so dont think he was choking, he let the crowd sing some of this one. The final 2 tracks included were taken from soundcheck. Gabe ended up wearing a pretty large mask (see the attached photos) so it was very hard to hear him sing Highway To Hell during the show. The soundcheck is a little bit clearer, but lacks the crowd's singalong. On the recording, the speaker stacks at Cubby Bear point towards the center of the floor and the pole I gaffe taped the microphones to pointed straight. I did my best to point the mics left/center, but the mix still feels a bit lopsided. I normalized both left and right channels to match as close as I could. I omitted about 3 minutes of crowd noise during the encore break. Criticism aside, it still sounds fucking awesome and Im very happy w/ it. If you were there, crank it up. If you weren't there, crank it up even louder. For more information on Local H, please visit: LocalH.com.
