Here's a Jed Luckless show from summer 2015, one of just a couple shows that month in advance of his 2015 Fall Tour. The show took place on August 26, 2015 at Jed's "home field" venue, August West Amphitheater, on DarkStar in Secondlife. You know it's going to be a fun show when Jed opens it with "Presents Are Fun." This time it's a "summer" version in place of a "holiday" one. Things get serious quick though with the dramatic "Ozone Blues" which sounds hot. Some lightness creeps in again with a couple of covered covers, Los Lobo's "When The Circus Comes To Town" (in honor of Phish's Magnaball) and Chuck Berry's "Promised Land." Jed's instrumental "Valley Of The Saints" is up next and it's a sultry version that features Jed speaking arabic. The first set closes with a Phish run that includes "Mike's Song" and "Weekapaug Groove" sandwiching a monster "Twist." Second set starts off with "Victim Of The Rhythm" which at the time was fast becoming Jed's go-to second set opener. He opens it in to a nice jam, but shifts uncharacteristically into the Grateful Dead's "Fire On The Mountain." The tale of Phish tour is told next with a nearly ten minute "Ass Gas or Grass" that's a slap clapping good time. Another instrumental follows, "The Caravan," from Jed's elusive Luna Suite. The fun aspect of the show comes rushing back with the Beatle's "Octopus's Garden" which is dedicated to the DarkStar community. A nice rendition of "Sunlight" rises next with an extended jam that turns into a high energy version of Jed's often impromptu "Mailboat Jam." From the mists of this jammy sea comes "The Song With Words And Stuff," the ever-popular Cailidgh Spires song, to end the show on a high note. A double encore features Phish's "Sleeping Monkey" and the "Presents Are Fun" 'reprise' known as "Presents Are Done." It puts a cap on a really fun show with some great song choices and some cool jams. "So come and see, friends." Also included here is the soundcheck which was a cover of TV On The Radio's "Golden Age." Enjoy!
