View NotesIt's the fourth annual Phish Bowl! This annual celebration of Phish and football has become legendary at Darkstar in Secondlife as one of the most fun parties of the year. As always Phish Bowl IV included two sets of live Phish tunes performed by Jed Luckless, along with presentation of the Phish Bowl IV Trophy for best Phish show of 2012. ANother tradition, Phish Bowl Raffle Boxes, is also alive and well and with Jed's typical broadcast style performance, you can follow along with all the action! This is a long game, which kicks off at a high pace right after the National Anthem with Llama. The first set doesn't let up, getting quickly to a lenghty "Golden Age" jam and segue into "Waste." The requisite Bob Marley birthday cover is here again this year, this time being "Mellow Mood." The Gamehendge fans get a treat with "Colonel's Forbin's Ascent" complete with Jed's telling of the tale of Icculus. The high energy set wraps up with a powerful "Walls Of The Cave." The Halftime presentation awards the Phish Bowl Trophy to the best overall Phish show of the previous year, and Phish Bowl IV's champion was the 9/1/12 show at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Colorado. Second set kicks off with a bang, as Jed launches into "Mike's Song," but postpones the groove and turns into "Possum." A nearly 15 minute long "Bathtub Gin" is a highlight, and Jed tells another story in the middle of "Harpua," this one about the origin of Phish Bowl. YEM is the centerpiece of the set at 18 minutes, and Jed gives it his all, even breaking out a trampoline! The vocal jam gives way to the pending "I am Oxygen" and a jammy "Weekapaug Groove" closes out the show. Jed tacks on a "Good Times, Bad Times" encore, reminding everyone to come back for a good time next year. Phish Bowl IV delivers all the action of previous years. Enjoy!
