If converted to wav during processing, all tags will be stripped, however audio data will remain unaffected. If you must transcode to a lossy format, do so directly Flac > Lossy. Use ffp to validate audio integrity. Md5 values will change if tagging is altered. Dave Usborne 02-17-2014 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SBD + AUD Matrix Mix (60%-SBD/40%-AUD)
Taper Notes:
View Notes--------------------------------------------------------- Source Info SBD SBD: DAT x 3 > CDR > SHN AUD FOB: Schoeps CMC 421 > DAT > CDR --------------------------------------------------------- Tech Notes SHNs were decoded to wave and SF 6.0 was used to reassemble the tracks back to 1 long wave. CEP2.0 was used to align & synch both of the sources. CEP2.0 used to adjust the volume for the SBD & AUD. This is a 50% SBD, 50% AUD mix. - Mixed by [email protected] - Shn conversion 8-SEP-2004 - Artwork by [email protected] 300dpi - For best results print at the highest resolution onto glossy photo paper. Design for use with a clear slim double jewel case. --------------------------------------------------------- Notes This is NOT the 'Dozin At The Nick' source for any of the first set or set two. You can see by the notes and the removal of several errors that the released source was not used. Although it would have made my life 100 times easier as finding sub second dropouts in a 3 hour show is insane. Set 1 It looks like the SBD source was normalized to 100%. The levels are way up there but not distorted or clipped. I performed a 'light' click and pop eliminator to the first set AUD source. I also took some time to remove or reduce more of the close claps. I raised the low levels on the AUD 2.5db on set 1. The Loser on this night is a smoker! 0:00.000 not much crowd/tuning before Let The Good Times Roll. No music missing though. 30:58.730 I applied a .479 second AUD patch to cover a missing portion on the SBD source. Maybe a dropout had been edited without notation? Between Desolation Row and Tennessee Jed the AUD was missing 25.358 seconds of crow cheer. The SBD was trimmed to match. The result is smooth and most likely undetectable. Set 2 Disc 2 and 3 can be assembled seamlessly on longer media. It looks like the SBD source was normalized to 100%. The levels are way up there but not distorted or clipped. Removed or reduced a few more of the close claps in set 2. I raised the low levels on the AUD 2db on set 2. 0:00.000 not much crowd/tuning before Playing In The Band. No music missing though. 14:56.243 I applied a .487 second AUD patch to cover a missing portion on the SBD source. Maybe a dropout had been edited without notation? 20:01.665 I applied a 1.027 second AUD patch to cover a missing portion on the SBD source. This is in the final verse of Uncle John's Band. A close listen and you might be able to detect this patch as it is over a second long. 1:14:15.057 I applied a .289 second AUD patch to cover a missing portion on the SBD source. Maybe a dropout had been edited without notation? --------------------------------------------------------- More Info On The AUD Recording COMMENTS: D1t01 (Let The Good Times Roll) Pops in right channel @ 2:02 and 2:04 Both removed and replace with left channel. D1t03 (Slipknot!) Static @ 1:05 and @ 2:52 both right channel removed and replaced with left channel. D1t06 (Loser) Pops right channel @ 1:23, 6:15 and 7:54 all removed and replaced with left channel. This track also has a Drop out @ 2:00 both channels removed. D1t07 (Desolation Row) Pop @ 1:55 and 2:03 both right channel removed and replaced with left channel. D1t08 (Tennessee Jed) Pops @ 4:08, 6:01 both right channel removed and replaced with left channel. D1t09 (One More Saturday Night). D2t01 (Playing In The Band) Static @ 4:12 removed slightly, Constant pops from 9:33 through 9:37 removed slightly as well. I couldn't remove all of them because the song didn't sound right. There maybe more problems present it was had to tell. This person next to the mics. was clapping through out the show.

I will never forget it. What we have here is a recording that is not only testament to the bands high caliber play, it captures the raw, palpable energy that was created inside the venue.

CEP2.0 was used to align & synch the SBD & AUD sources. CEP2.0 used to adjust the volume for the SBD, AUD, center and LFE channels. Surcode CD Pro DTS was used to encode to DTS. - Mixed by [email protected] - Shn conversion 8-SEP-2004 - Artwork by [email protected] 300dpi - For best results print at the highest resolution onto glossy photo paper. Between Desolation Row and Tennessee Jed the AUD was missing 25.358 seconds of crowd cheer. The result is smooth and most likely undetectable. 20:01.665 I applied a 1.027 second AUD patch to cover a missing portion on the SBD source. This is in the final verse of Uncle John's Band. A close listen and you will be able to detect this patch as it is over a second long. 1:14:15.057 I applied a .289 second AUD patch to cover a missing portion on the SBD source. Maybe a dropout had been edited without notation? --------------------------------------------------------- More On DTS Today's audio standards are moving towards multi-channel sound, like DTS and Dolby Digital. While the Audio-CD standard (Red Book) hasn't changed to accommodate these new sound formats, it is still possible to go around the specification and to put a 5.1 surround recording on a regular Audio-CD. To play a DTS-Audio-CD you must connect your DVD/CD player via a digital cable (optical or coaxial) to your DTS Dolby-Digital receiver. It is not 100% sure that your receiver will recognize a DTS-Audio CD, so the first time you're trying to playback a DTS-Audio-CD you must do a test to determine if it can. Begin with the volume very low, start the disc and raise the volume gradually. NEVER listen to a DTS-Audio-CD through the analog audio outputs of your CD/DVD player. Burning Instructions Burn them the absolute same way as you would burn any normal Audio-CD from .shn files. ------------------------------
