View Notes"I recorded each set on the same tape using traks 1-4, so the tape would be rewound to the head after each set was over and the next trak would be selected. So the crease at around the 8 min mark affected the whole tape thus affecting each trak. Also the head of Jack Straw was clipped because the show started before I was ready. Plus I was new to recording and panicked over the levels peaking, that's when I set input levels to auto for the rest of both shows. I used Realistic pressure zone mics directly centered about 40ft behind the sound board. Almost dead center. Each was mounted on a 1ft square sheet of 1/8 inch plexiglass. That is why ambient noise is strong. However, when played loud these recordings (in my biased opinion ;) sound pretty good, and unique. They have good base and mid range. So I recorded these in 1986, and my brother Winthrop Chamberlain, made the transfers last week."
