Taper Notes:
View Notes- The aud was missing some sections of tuning/crowd, these have been patched from the sbd - The sbd of "It's All Over Now", "Ship Of Fools", "Terrapin Station" and "Drums" all had splices/tape flips, these have been patched from the aud - "Alabama Getaway" from the aud source has been used in both tracks rather than try and sync it with the source used for the sbd Thanks to the tapers and seeders editing and matrix SIRMick November 2010

Recorded By Mason Taylor on a Nakamichi 550 Cassette Deck, on chrome tapes, with Nakamichi microphones
Taper Notes:
View Notes"Mason B. Taylor was a taper from Chicago that recorded concerts by many bands in the Chicagoland area and on Dead tours. He used a Nakamichi 550 with Nakamichi 300 mics with shotgun capsules for most of his earlier recordings. In later years he used Sony D-5 and Sony D-3 cassette recorders with Nakamichi 300 mics. Mason captured spectacular musical moments and loved to share them with his closest friends. In honor of Mason and all the love he put into his recordings we are now able to share these moments with those who can appreciate them most. As the shows get uploaded we would love for you to share your stories about the epic times the music evokes so we can all dial back into that moment when the magic was happening. Thanks to Mason’s family and his Chicago and Cleveland friends for opening up Mason’s Jar…"

Taper Notes:
View NotesFlaws: Set 1: Several between song glitches repaired with cross fades. Fadeout after All Over Now & Fade In for China Cat. Set 2: Fade in/out after CC Rider & Ship of Fools (minimized with crossfade). Good chunk of drumz is missing --No luck locating it. Abrupt fade out after Sunshine Daydream. Overall: While there is no loud clapping near the mics, there is plenty of loud crowd noise at various points. When the crowd is quieter, the music is clear, but at certain peak musical moments, the crowd is very loud and distracting. All in all, a decent, listenable recording. Tracks d3t06 - d3t09 are SBD versions of the second half of the second set as broadcast on the GD Hour.
