View Notesi suspect the material after the splice in Good Lovin’ has an extra gen in it’s lineage, brief drop out in Lost Sailor, / = tape flips, cuts

Source: SBD > ? > DAT, however there are clearly multiple sources patched together; Conversion: My DAT > Tascam DA-20 S/PDIF > M-Audio Audiophile S/PDIF > Total Recorder (PC) (44.1/16-bit) > WAV > Split with CDWave > Encode to FLAC (Traders Little Helper); Conversion: Justin Mason

View NotesThere only seemed to be one seed of this show available out there at this time (http://db.etree.org/shn/9361), so I wanted to compare it to my DAT. Just like SHN 9361, there seems to be at least two sources brought together to make this show. Also, I’m not sure about the exact lineage of my DAT, as I got it in a trade 20 years ago with only “SBD > DAT” on the label. Almost all the songs seem to be from source 1 (SBD > ? > DAT), which is a low-gen SBD recording, except for: Althea, Lost Sailor from source 2, a higher-gen, with noticeably more hiss. Alabama Getaway > Johnny B. Goode encore from source 3, possibly a higher-gen but definitely sounds like it has some Dolby noise reduction applied to it. First note or two of China Cat sounds like it’s cut. Brief Digi-snit in Franklin’s [@10:47] The following cuts were smoothed with Diamond Cut Audio Restoration software: Middle of Supplication [@2:38] End of Lost Sailor [@literally the end of the track] Middle of Drums [@8:19] After comparing the two sources, I can say that my source has the same cuts, but my source sounds clearer to my ears, so I believe my DAT could be a lower-gen copy of the same source used to seed SHNID 9361, or that source has had some processing done to it such as EQ, Noise Reduction, etc.
