Matrix by Hunter Seamons using Final Cut Pro (FLAC > AIFF > Final Cut w/EQ > Soundtrack Pro > AIFF CD tracking via Audacity > FLAC16 via xACT w/meta-tagging) August 29, 2021
Taper Notes:
View NotesMix fluctuations during Alabama Getaway. Vocals a little hot initially but seem to mellow as the show progresses. Jerry's guitar is lower in the SBD mix on some songs but the matrix helps correct this. The guitar is very low for China Cat and the first minute of I Know You Rider. Some SBD dead air was trimmed out between songs, and a short segment of the AUD was trimmed for continuity with a SBD cut. The 2019 transfer of Severson's recording was greatly improved over the 2007 transfer. Click removed from the AUD at the beginning of Wharf Rat. Despite a lack of jams, a much better show experience than anticipated. Highlights include fine versions of Althea, Music Never Stopped, Peggy-O and Wharf Rat, and a pretty great second set with a high energy Good Lovin' closer. Very tight and focused playing.
