Absolutely Appreciated!! --I added the band members info --corrected some song titles toward how they appear on the original albums...t18 turns out to be from Lo Faber's album "Friday Night Freakshow" & that's how it is listed (https://lofaber.bandcamp.com/album/friday-night-freakshow) --added some more detail to the setlist info --added more detail to the venue info --try as I might, I could not find an exact street address on this place, but the intersection of Route 343 & Route 44/Sharon Turnpike does seem to be exactly correct...if anyone out there knows the street address of where this place lived, please won't you chime in & let us all know?? --this venue no longer exists...it was also known as "Tickets Sports Bar", "The Sports Bar at Tickets" & "Ticket's" --Tickets seemed to be in existence from 1991 or 1992-1996...the last concert at Tickets was on 1996-01-16...the bands that performed that night were: Joan Jett & the Blackhearts / Characters. --the only images I could find related to this place are included...the pic of God Street Wine IS from Tickets, but from the show on 1995-04-14, then pics of a ticket stub & a concert ad from Tickets & finally a nice overview shot of Amenia for fun

View NotesTaper Notes: Continuing my deep dive into my ancient GSW recordings, I present BARN243, the next opportunity I had to see them after their historic 12/31/94 NYE show. At this point I was ready to see/hear GSW at every opportunity possible, so I trekked up to tiny Amenia, NY, about 100 miles north of NYC to see them, along with fellow Wino, Shari Krauser. The band brought out their best, in a truly rocking, high-energy show — you can hear the band taking the momentum (and some of the covers, played electric instead of acoustic) from on their amazing NYE performance from 2 weeks before and building on it by experimenting with the form and structure of some of the songs for some spontaneous modifications: Guitar solo intro and bass soloing nightingale Interesting percussion breakdown in the middle of a crazy all-over-the-place spectacular Hellfire Breathtaking version of Run To You Bass breakdown in Gretchen and super strong ending Mile By Mile has an unusual jam in it Extreme rarity of them covering "Over The Rainbow" Unfortunately the recording starts out a little shaky in the first track -- you can hear me getting set up plus you can hear a loose mic cable and a few other small anomalies in the first song, but after that it becomes really good sounding. And you can hear that I moved to a better sounding location for the second set. This show was previously unheard for MANY MANY years until "muziklvr" shared Mike Buzzeo's soundboard recording on archive.org just 2 months ago! Either version is a great listen!!! ENJOY!
