Recording notes: We discovered this evening that the sound board out The House cafe has the ability to send me multiple outputs of mixes. So I asked for 4. Vocals, Keys and Sax, Guitar and Bass, Drums And Percussion. Unfortunately there was a mistake and I got no key mixdown and 2 copies of the vocal mix. So because of that I had to mix in much more of the room mic than I would have liked to do. Hopefully next time I will get the right mixdown and there should be a less muddy tone to everything. The First track used plenty of fading. This was due to a bad live mix for the first 2 minutes. I tried the best I could to make up for it. Performance Notes: This was the 4th night with our new bassist Patrick Dinnen of "Bill Smith". Unfortunately the 2nd and 3rd nights with him weren't documented. February 17th was at The Tonic Room with Sam Sinclair Trio(too small of a room and short set to try and record). And The night before was (March 5th) was At The Abbey Pub for the annual Summercamp Talent Search (too many bands to mess around with trying to set up mics or get lines from the board). The Filthy Wizards and Raoul Duke opened up for us. This night happened to be the first night that Phish was having their reunion, hence some of the Phish References. Another common theme seen in some of the banter (or jam titles) was our heavy consumption of "Hamms". First time for playing Joe's new song "Silk Stockings". "Little Faces" by Oysterhead was completely random. During Cindy and Silk Stockings some little kid was break dancing, and it was GOOD. Lineup: Joe Arteaga: Drums, Vocals Patrick Dinnen: Bass Mike Ellis: Keyboards, Vocals, Trumpet Nate Heffron: Tenor Sax, Harmonica Brian Riordan: Percussion, Handsonic, Vocals Dave Waterman: Guitar, Vocals
