The O.J. Simpson show.  Just two weeks after their first performance at the Waterhole, the boys returned for "a show added last minute" and started the gig while all the club televisions showed the slow-speed O.J. Simpson Bronco chase.   The second set Cancelled is the highlight, featuring the boys doing play-by-play and color commentary while O.J. is holed up in his mansion surrounded by cops.

Max asks, "Would you come out with your hands up please Mr. Simpson?  We're trying to keep this low key…"

Dana, who of course plays O.J., adds that, "Capricorn 1 was a great movie!"

Other highlights include the rare Millworker's opener, Stephen O'Rourke, Buddhaful Belly, and Molson in the first set, Hey O.J. Simpson to open the second, and later John Henry's Hammer, Postcard Conversations, and Schizophrenic Rain.

In one of the last three set Waterhole shows Monopole, Bong Hits->Blackberry, Until I Break and a powerful closing Mike Murphy 3 shone through brightest among what was pretty much a "Greatest Hits" list for a last set.

One final side note:  early Waterhole shows tend to sound slightly different from each other (and perhaps roughly mixed) due to the soundboard being much smaller that that of say Bogie's.  Prior to the days of Chris Graf or Marty Racine handling soundboard duties, when it comes to Waterhole mixes, your mileage may vary from show to show.  This recording is mixed unevenly in places, but quite listenable nevertheless.  Moreover, the historic nature of the show and primordial versions of certain songs makes it a must for any connoisseur.  Besides, they were actually commentating on the news as it happened before our eyes.  Who else could do that?
