View NotesIt's the 7th Annual Jed Luckless Holiday Revue! Jammin Jed's 2014 holiday fundraiser took place on December 21, 2014 at Darkstar in Secondlife and was broadcast on www.jedluckless.tv. As always it was a fun time, with great live holiday music for a good cause. The charity this year was The Damon & Stella Foundation For Mental Health, shining a spotlight on mental health awareness in the wake of several losses within the entertainment community. The show kicks off strongly with the poignant "Do They Know It's Christmas," featuring a "Down With Disease" tease. Phish teases abound in set one, with a nod to "The Wedge" in "Frosty The Snowman," and a "Runaway Jim" tease in "Jingle Bells." The topic of silver comes up with "Silver Bells," and Jed matches the donations during "Silver and Gold." A jammy "Deck The Halls" set closer wraps up the tease-filled set by referencing "Timber" and "China Cat Sunflower." The intermission features Public Service Announcements for the Damon & Stella Foundation, including Billy Bob Thornton and the founder of Damon & Stella. Intermixed with the PSA's are tributes to Rankin & Bass featuring clips from Rudolph and Santa Claus Is Coming to town. Second set starts off with a Holiday Revue favorite, "The Grinch," and includes holiday classics from John Lennon and The Pretenders. A Hannukah tribute makes up the middle of the set, with present commentary added to Adam Sandler's "The Hannukah Song" and Jed's typical "Aiko" inspired "Dreidel Dreidel." The set wraps up in Holly Jolly fashion and the encore ties out the Rankin/Bass tribute with "Heat Miser" from The Year Without A Santa Claus. Enjoy!
