It's a "Wake and Bake Sunday" show with Jed Luckless, featuring two sets of mostly original music with just a couple cover tunes thrown in. This was Jammin Jed's first all originals show, a departure at the time from his Grateful Dead and Phish heavy shows. The show starts off with an improv jam as most of Jed's shows did in 2009, and it includes a bouncy rhythm and the "Zoom" beat box Jed was using at the time. It builds to one of Jed's signature '09 multi-layered jams before segueing into "All At Once" which was still a year or so away from becoming the title track on Jed's first solo album. The powerful "Old Man Miller" shows up next, one of a few tunes in the first set from the "GuRGLe" era, along with "Cash Me In" and "Friendly Burial." There's a couple love songs in the mix including a mellow verion of "Still In Luv With U" and the quiet "Some Notes On Lying" which leads into an extended drum solo and jam. Second set is mainly focused on Jed's "Luna" suite, and a significant portion of the work at that, including the Overture, Ozone Blues, The Caravan, Luna, The Constable and Come Tomorrow. It's probably one of the few times that many songs from "Luna" have been played together. Jed throws in a brand new original debut which he refers to as "Never Go Back Again" but went on to become simply "Back Again." The show wraps up with the only cover songs of the night, the Grateful Dead's "Jack-a-Roe" and the Phish song "Farmhouse." They put the cap on a fun Sunday morning of music, and an important show in Jed history. Enjoy!
