View Notes***Original Notes*** Notes: this is one of two matrix shows recorded by myself and a friend in an attempt to start a Instant Live clone. We since decided to abandon the business after we finished school, and decided to turn over what recordings we had over to the greater good. the band arrived late for the gig, and i believe we were forced to set levels and whatnot on the fly, so dont bitch if you think it sounds like ass. also, the track cutting is "creative" at best. ***End Orig Notes*** I apparently x-fered these both before, with the intent of uploading them (2003-10-31, Jake's Nightclub Lubbock, TX (and it appears at least one of them made it to StG, because its on the archive - http://www.archive.org/details/jfjo2003-10-31.shnf)). I reripped the same discs I ripped previously, except this time I have more source info & log files galore. The files are also encoded to flac(lvl8) opposed to shn; I guess that would make these an upgrade. I am torrenting them both together (to TTD) because I can. :-P If you originally paid money for these, I would like to thank you for helping 2 crazy kids dream. Sure it was a miserable failure, but, you own a piece of history. My Memories: Antones was (havent been there in about 2 years now, i hope they havent changed the layout) laid out perfectly for what we needed to do. This show was going to be our test run/proof of concept. Blake is/was friends with the band, and secured us these two gigs. The soundboard at Antones is on a raised platform over the bar, and we were setup directly under the board with our mic FOB ~10ft up. I know there was another taper at antones that night, but with where his mics were placed and because of the two girls standing directly under/infront of them talking, i doubt they were any good. :(. So anyway, it was supposed to be our warmup show, 2 sets, nice break in the middle for us to reset levels, track the first disc, etc. As JFJO was going on, Brian yells that it was going to be one set... This is the show I believe I was originally referring to with crazy levels and chaotic tracking. I actually havent had the time to listen to it, just rip and post. The show is untouched/edited. If you can help with track names for this one, plz do. Enjoy!
