Taper Notes:
View NotesNotes: Two different sets of discs with the same lineage were used to compile the present set of discs. One set of discs included an FM patch in SOTOTW>TOO to cover the cut but was riddled with small ticks throughout. A second set of discs, provided to me by Andy Lemieux, did not have the cut patched but was much cleaner. I cut the patched region from the "dirty" set and pasted it into the "clean" set. Both sets of discs had a cut in Good Lovin' and that cut remains on the present set of discs until an FM copy surfaces that can be used to patch it. Interestingly, the set that Andy sent me had about 10 seconds of redundant material during TOO that was subsequently removed. The other set came to me labeled as a complete FM, which turned out to be incorrect. Upon compairing the two sets of discs they seem to be from the same 1st-gen MSR source. Jim Wise has stated that he applied a patch to a 1st-gen MSR source at one point using Eddie Claridge's FM recording, but I have no idea if the patch that appears here is the work of Mr. Wise. Whoever did it, it's very well done. One final note: Andy Lemieux asserts that the copy he sent is the one that is currectly listed at db.etree.org, but other folks have told me that the "etree" version is riddled with ticks. Since I have never had the "etree" version to compare to, I cannot confirm or deny if either of the sets of discs are the "etree" version. And for what it's worth, Andy also says that the lineage listed on etree is incorrect. It should be MSR>C>DAT>CD. Confused yet? Carry on...
