Taper Notes:
View NotesComments: -This show is usually listed on tapes and in Deadbase as 8/24/71. But, according to Dwight Holmes the circulating aud tapes for this show were made by Stephen Wade, who says that he only taped the first show (8/23) and not the second (8/24). Additional evidence from Jeff Tiedrich also indicates that this is 8/23 and not 8/24. Notes: - The passage of time has not been kind to these tapes, so it has been necessary to carry out a considerable amount of restoration and repair work. I think it's been worth it though because this sounds much better that the other source that circulates, seeded by Jeff Cotmans and which also derives from the same master as this. However, the first 2 or 3 minutes of "Birdsong" sounds a little rough. There are several small patches where the speed wavers a little, which it has not been possible to correct - All tracks pitch corrected. - A number of small patches have been put in using shnid 125886, thank you Charlie Miller. On a couple of occasions a matrix was put in as it gives a more pleasing result. - Some eq has been applied Thanks to Doug Lamarre for providing this source. Thanks to Matt Vernon for the transfer and facilitating. edited and mastered SIRMick September 2023

Taper Notes:
View Notes--most of the cuts are a result of stopping the reel to save time/batteries, and are therefore very minor in most cases --dropout @ 1:55 in Bobby McGee --tape warble @ 6:05 in The Other One(1) --tape damage(?) @ 6:39-6:50 in 2nd Other One --tape warble @ 0:08 in 2nd Cryptical --Sound Forge was used for normalization, correction of the pitch, crossfades, and smoothing over troubled areas. Comments: This is a decent mono audience recording of seeming moderate distance from the source of music. The microphone is often bumped or moved, causing some noise. The crowd is relatively quiet. Deadlists comments: This show is usually listed on tapes and in Deadbase as 8/24/71.
