Taper Notes:
View NotesOcracoke Island. We did some Island hopping on the Outer Banks as I recall. We stayed on the beach at a National Park, I think. I Know we played a couple of places, warm Sun, friendly People, and Jammin' for the Crowd. The first thing that stands out is how tight the band is, together through each build, adding to the whole without dominating the rap jack. They are right there with all the cues, improvising but stayin' within the framework of the song. Matt and Bensons vocals harmonize together while Deniece's vocals compliment the harmony with that bluesey feel only she can deliver. Russ Riffhard and Adam keep the groove, perfectly playing of each others runs and fills, holding down the bottom. This is really a Good solid Barefeet & Co. show, 'Mud in your Eye', 'Don't worry About Tomorrow', Reggie, with all his fire and splendor, huffin' and puffin', with a little 'B.I.N.G.O.' and an Amazing grace jamin the middle, end the night with all the Smoke and Brimstone befitting such a Great Beast. Even a Freebird thrown in for good measure. What more is needed for a Great night with the Barefeet and Company. Matt Mcguire: Lead Guitar, Vocals Russ Reppert: Bass, Vocals Josh Weidner: Hammond B3, Keyboards Benson Hardesty: Cello, Vocals Adam Alexander: Drums Denise Brabant: Vocals
