View NotesWHO ARE THESE PEOPLE??? It sounds as if The Barefeet &Company are posessed, channeling Music Greats from past and present, Struggling to regain their soul, and the result is thisamazing thing of a show. We start off in the middle of what I believe is the Jam for 'To Another Day' , waay out there in space, is that..., no..., I thought I heard.., wait. It Is! ST. Stephen jamming it's way into the tapestry of the music. The Second song sounds like King Crimson & Kraftwerk vs. Pink Floyd & Phish. I can't even begin to describe it. Then the Barefeet regain control and launch into Power of a Woman. But this dosen't sound quite right, like Primus decided to show up and hang, while some Bluesy Aretha Franklin type sings the lyrics. Unreal. Just amazing. Then, they go into song #4. Who Are These Guys?! Sounds like Santana, or images of a smokey Jazz scene with hip cats tappin' their feet and snappin' their fingers. Josh hunkering over the piano, cigarette hangin' out of the corner of his mouth while Matt plays some crazy rhythms and Benson adds the exact amount into this Jazz stew to really make it sizzle. Somewhere in the middle of all this, not exactly sure where, The Barefeet & Company win this crazy tug-of-war and out pops B. Kind, Always a crowd favorite, to end the show. I have no idea what I'm Talking about, This Show warped my Fragile Eggshell Mind !!!! !! ! Man, what a great time to live in Morgantown. Radio Shows, Don Rons Hillbilla Villa, Sunnyside(R.I.P.), Brew Pub puttin' on a benefit for this or that. Music had meaning once-upon-a-time here.Barefeet & Company Joint Cheifs, Rasta Rafiki, Rusted Root would come to play,Karma to Burn, Circle Six, The Kevin Freison(?) Ensemble, The Argument, etc., etc., etc. A BIG Special Thanx to Orville Weale for presenting me with this DAT tape of the show. He got it from Mark Poole who transferred it to cd. It blew my master SBD away hiss wise.
