View NotesFiles updated 01/05/2004 Starts and finishes of songs moved. EQ Tweaked a tad. Normalized to 98 db End result is better sounding stuff. aangen This is what Deaner said in his tour diary: minneapolis-a 2 night stand here at 1st ave, one of our favorite clubs. played here too many times to count. we also played an in-store appearance at electric fetus records which turned out to be a lot more than i expected. the store was massive, there were almost 500 people in the place and it was a sweatbox. we had rented equipment (which didn't work the way it was supposed to) so our planned setlist of songs from quebec went out the window because we couldn't load sounds for glenn. i think we played like 5 or 6 tunes and bailed out----nice store though, great people, like everyone in minnesota. the first ave. shows were awesome in my opinion. the crowd on the 1st night was totally off the hook and we played a really rowdy set. i thought we actually played a lot better on the 2nd night, but it was an all ages show that started at 7pm and the crowd wasn't really as liquored up. i thought it was the tightest i've heard the band sound though in a long ass time. we love this club and we played something like 50 different songs over the 2 nights including a bunch of covers. There are a lot of clubs that we won't go back and play anymore just because we want something different but First Ave. is special somehow, I feel a great affection for that club and it's staff. maybe next time we'll do 3 nights.
