(by way of Jim Adams) transfer by: Ray Brooks vanillag NOTES (12/9/2022): --BIG Thanks to whomever actually recorded this, Jim Adams for the share & Ray Brooks for the transfer of this Missing Man Formation 1996 show. Absolutely Appreciated!! --This "Gathering Of the Tribe" was a lavish event where the makers of a of Grateful Dead-inspired & authorized neckties & boxer shorts promoted their wares to the Deadheads --the event was hosted by Wavy Gravy & included a distinctly Deadhead-ish communal lighting of the Hanukkah candles & an “executive fashion show” with director Paul Mazursky, sports TV host Roy Firestone, actors David Leisure & Max Gail & several music industry officials showing off the new ties...boxer shorts were modeled by models from the L.A.Models agency. --musical performances that played at this event were (from start to finish): Eileen Frizzell (a mezzo-soprano performing an aria fashioned from Dead songs “Dark Star” & “St.Stephen); Warren Zevon; Richie Havens; Missing Man Formation --Peter Boyle & Howard Hesseman were in attendance --$7,500 was raised at the party & went to Wavy Gravy's Camp Winnarainbow for homeless children --https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1996-12-09-ls-7413-story.html --I corrected some song titles toward how they appear on the original albums --added more detail to the venue location --https://www.museumofflying.org/ --added the band members info --added more detail to the setlist --added more detail to the source & transfer info --added some pictures of the venue --created an ffp checksum file --added the ffp fingerprints to the text file
